What a balloon arch is — and what ours covers

A balloon arch is the focal-point installation at most events with balloon decor. It anchors the photo wall, marks the gift table or cake area, and sets the color story for the room. In Los Angeles, balloon arches range from compact tabletop installations ($50-150 in materials only) up to large designed-from-scratch full-arches ($1,500-$3,000+ for custom studios). Our model sits squarely in the middle: a productized 6-foot backdrop arch with organic garland that fits behind most dining tables and photo zones, included in six of our eight fixed-price packages.

An organic balloon garland (the kind we build into every arch) means balloons of varied sizes — 5", 11", 16" — clustered in waves rather than uniform single-size strings. It's the look most commonly associated with modern balloon decor in 2025-2026, and it photographs cleanly under both natural light and warm indoor light. Every arch we build is double-stuffed in critical sections (chrome and matte combined), which gives the colors more depth than single-layer balloons.

Our arches do not include: free-standing horseshoe-shaped arches (the classic "balloon archway over an entrance"), full-room ceiling installations, or arches over 8 feet wide. Those are custom-installation territory, and we don't offer them — we focus on the 80% of events where the standard 6-ft backdrop arch genuinely covers what's needed.

Balloon arches by event type

Birthday balloon arch

The most-booked arch configuration in our catalog. The Birthday Balloon Package combines 60 premium balloons across the 6-ft backdrop frame with custom vinyl name letters. Birthday balloon package details include the three available palettes (Pink & Gold, Blue & Silver, Pastel Rainbow), and four font options for the name vinyl. For milestone birthdays (Sweet 16, 30th, 50th), the optional balloon column add-on creates a vertical photo focal alongside the arch.

Baby shower balloon arch

Soft-pastel garland over the same 6-ft frame, with baby-themed foil accents (cloud, rattle, footprint, or bottle silhouettes) integrated into the garland. Three palette options: Soft Pink, Soft Blue, and Gender-Neutral (sage + butter yellow + ivory). The baby shower package includes the standard "Baby [Name]" or "Oh Baby" vinyl, with the option to scale up for co-ed showers via the larger garland add-on.

Graduation balloon arch

Q2 seasonal, school-color matched. The graduation package includes the year numerals (2026, '26) as the focal feature on the 6-ft arch plus a foil graduation cap accent. Saturdays in May and June fill 3-4 weeks ahead; book early. Our standard package matches school colors within balloon-palette tolerances — exact Pantone is not possible with latex, but the closest standard balloon color is what we'll use.

Bridal shower balloon arch

White and blush palette, "Bride to Be" vinyl, with the 5-ft balloon column included as standard (rather than as an add-on). Bridal shower package works well for hotel-venue showers in Beverly Hills, the Fairmont Miramar in Santa Monica, and most LA private dining rooms — the included column adds a vertical photo element that elevates the standard backdrop look.

Gender reveal balloon arch

Neutral pre-reveal palette over the standard 6-ft arch, plus a giant 36" reveal balloon pre-loaded with pink or blue. The gender reveal package includes a confetti cannon backup in case the balloon-pop misses, plus three neutral palette options (Pearl & Sage, Beige & Gold, Bold Black & White) so the pre-reveal arch reads as a "guess what?" rather than telegraphing the answer.

Anniversary balloon arch

Romantic palette over the 6-ft frame with year numerals as the focal feature. Anniversary package includes three palettes — Burgundy & Gold, Black & Rose, White & Champagne — designed to work for milestone years from 1st through 50th. The year numerals scale up to 3 digits standard; larger or longer text needs an extra panel.

Materials and palettes — what makes a quality balloon arch

The materials are what separate a 4-hour balloon arch from a 24-hour one. We use three premium manufacturers across our installs:

• Qualatex — industry standard for matte and chrome latex; holds shape 24+ hours indoors, 6+ hours in LA outdoor heat. Made in the USA.
• Sempertex — best for specific matte chrome colors and pearl tones; manufactured in Colombia, US-imported.
• Tuf-Tex — for saturated single colors and oversized balloons (the 16" sphere balloons used in our arch builds).

All three are premium grade — not the import-grade latex that deflates within 4-8 hours. Same brands the $1,500-installation studios in LA use. The difference between our arches and theirs isn't the materials; it's that we don't custom-design each event.

Pricing — why our balloon arches are flat-priced, not per-foot

Most LA balloon decorators price arches per linear foot ($15-$30/ft). That makes invoices unpredictable — two studios quoting "a balloon arch" can charge wildly different amounts for the same outcome. Our approach: pre-design fixed packages that include the arch, publish the price, and build the same configuration the same way every time. The materials and craft are identical to custom arches at twice the price; the savings come from removing one-off design labor.
