A balloon studio built on a different model.

Most balloon decor in Los Angeles gets sold the same way: discovery call, mood board, custom palette mix, quote turnaround. The result looks great — and costs accordingly. We watched that pattern for a while and decided it overprices the typical event.

We started That Famous Decor Studio in May 2026 to do balloon decor the way most products are sold: a small, well-built catalog, transparent prices, fast booking. Eight packages cover the most-requested events in LA. Each is a fixed price with a clear scope. The materials are the same premium matte and chrome balloons used by luxury studios — Qualatex, Sempertex, Tuf-Tex — we just compress the design and customization labor that gets billed at $200/hr in the custom market.

What we believe

Most events don't need custom design. A 30-guest 5-year-old birthday and a 30-guest 50th anniversary both photograph well with the same scope of decor — premium balloons, a 6-ft backdrop, vinyl letters. The custom-design overhead doesn't move the photo result for these events. It just inflates the invoice.

Standardization isn't the same as cheap. A pre-built kit using premium materials looks identical to a custom kit using the same materials. The savings come from removing one-off design labor — not from cutting balloon quality, frame quality or setup quality.

Honest pricing builds trust. Every package on this site shows a fixed price. Add-ons are listed individually with their prices. There's no "starting at" trap, no required upsell, no concept-fee surprise on the final invoice.

What we don't do

We don't take custom installations. Weddings, large galas, multi-room corporate events, designed-from-scratch creative themes — those are real jobs that need a real custom approach. There are excellent custom studios in LA for that work; we don't compete in that space. If your event needs custom design, we'll happily tell you that on the contact form.

We also don't do balloon-only delivery without setup. Bouquets, single columns and small accents are coming as a separate products line, but the core of what we do is full-package decor with on-site professional setup.

Materials & standards

The latex is what makes balloon decor look fresh in photos vs tired by the time the cake comes out. We use three premium manufacturers:

  • Qualatex — industry standard, holds shape 24+ hours indoors, 6+ hours in LA outdoor heat
  • Sempertex — for matte chrome colors and pearl tones; manufactured in Colombia
  • Tuf-Tex — for specific saturated colors and oversized balloons

All three are US-imported, premium grade — not the import-grade latex that deflates within 4–8 hours. The same brands that LA's $1,500-installation studios use.

Where we work

Currently Los Angeles and surrounding areas — 25-mile delivery zone from central LA is included in every package price. The architecture supports multi-state expansion when the demand makes sense — but for now, LA is the focus.
