Gender Reveal Balloon Package — Los Angeles
A photo-ready gender reveal installation built around a giant reveal balloon. The pre-reveal palette is intentionally neutral — pearl, sage, or beige — so the surprise isn't telegraphed before the moment. On the reveal cue, the 36-inch balloon pops to release pink or blue confetti and smaller balloons. We pre-load the surprise so even the host can be a guest.

Three palettes to pick from
Choose one palette at booking. Each is hand-mixed and proven to photograph well across indoor and outdoor LA venues.
Pearl & Sage
Pearl white, sage green, chrome silver, ivory. The most popular neutral — soft, natural, photographs cleanly in indoor and garden venues. Sage works as a balanced "could be either" hint.
Beige & Gold
Beige, chrome gold, ivory, with optional blush touch. Warmer, slightly more glam — works for restaurant venues and indoor formal settings. The chrome gold pops against the neutral base.
Bold Black & White
Matte black, white, chrome silver. Modern look that contrasts dramatically with the pink/blue reveal moment. Best for design-forward venues and gender reveals that want photographic punch.

What setup day looks like

Day -7: gender confirmation
Someone other than the parents (typically the doctor or close family member) sends us the gender via private form field — we're the only ones with the answer.

Day -1: reveal balloon pre-load
Our team pre-loads the giant 36" balloon with matching confetti and smaller pink or blue balloons. Confetti cannon backup is pre-charged with the same color.

Event day: arrival
We arrive 30-45 minutes before guests with the reveal balloon sealed and the backdrop pre-assembled. The reveal balloon hangs centered above or at the backdrop's focal point.

Reveal moment: pop
On cue, the parents (or designated guest) pops the balloon with a pin or a dart. Confetti and smaller balloons release. If the pop misses, the confetti cannon backup fires the same color.
Why this package, specifically
The gender reveal package was designed around one specific moment: the few seconds when the giant reveal balloon pops and the color drops. Everything else in the package — the neutral palette, the "He or She" vinyl, the 50 backdrop balloons — exists to frame that moment cleanly. The neutral palette is the most important design choice: pink-and-blue-mixed pre-reveal palettes telegraph "we're going to do a gender reveal" but also let guests guess the answer from the balloon distribution. Pearl, sage, or beige hide the answer completely.
The confetti cannon backup matters more than people realize. We learned this after several events where the reveal balloon pop missed (host swing went off-center, or the pin missed the latex surface) — guests had to wait awkwardly for a Plan B. Now every kit includes a pre-loaded confetti cannon with the same color, so if the balloon pop misses, the host can fire the cannon as a clean backup within 5 seconds. It's included in the $450 package price.
For twin gender reveals (both genders, or two of the same), we offer twin reveal balloons ($95 add-on) — one for each baby. The twin add-on doubles the impact for parents expecting two and lets the reveal sequence go: balloon 1, then balloon 2.
Limits of this package
To keep the price honest, this package has fixed limits:
- One vinyl message (up to 18 characters)
- Reveal balloon contains pink OR blue (specify gender privately at booking)
- Pre-reveal palette uses neutrals only — no pre-reveal pink/blue allowed
- Confetti cleanup not included (venue keeps after)
- Indoor venues only (outdoor reveal balloons can drift if not held)

What goes into your installation
Reveal balloon: 36-inch premium latex with pre-cut load slit, double-walled for extra durability. Confetti: biodegradable, FDA-safe paper confetti in pink or blue. Pre-reveal palette: Qualatex matte and chrome in neutral tones — same materials as our other packages, just color-restricted to avoid telegraphing the answer. Confetti cannon: air-pressure (no pyrotechnics, no permit required indoors), pre-loaded with matching color confetti. Frame: 6-ft aluminum-core backdrop, reusable.

Gender reveal balloon package — questions
How do you keep the gender a secret?
You designate someone other than the parents (typically the doctor, ultrasound technician, or a close family member) to send us the gender via a private booking-form field. Our team pre-loads the reveal balloon — only the loader knows. We never share that field with anyone, including the host's family. The studio team that handles the load is bound by our standard NDA.
What if the reveal balloon doesn't pop cleanly?
Every kit includes a confetti cannon backup pre-loaded with the same color. If the balloon pop misses (off-center swing, missed pin), the host fires the cannon as a clean Plan B within 5 seconds. The backup is included in the $450 package price.
Is this safe for indoor reveal?
Yes. Confetti is biodegradable FDA-safe paper, and the cannon is air-pressure (no pyrotechnics). Indoor venues with 8-ft ceilings work fine. We do NOT use smoke bombs or pyro confetti — those require outdoor venues and special permits.
Can the parents be surprised too?
Yes — we set up a surprise booking flow where someone else (typically a doctor, ultrasound tech, or close family member) tells us the gender, and the parents find out at the reveal along with everyone else. Many of our gender reveal bookings work this way.
How long does the surprise last after setup?
The reveal balloon is rated for 8+ hours after pre-loading. Setup at noon for a 5pm reveal is no problem. The reveal balloon's structural integrity holds longer than typical latex because of the double-walled construction.
What if it's twins and you don't know that yet?
We have a Twin Reveal add-on ($95) that ships twin reveal balloons in one kit. If you don't know yet whether it's twins, you can decide closer to the event date — let us know up to 7 days ahead.
Can we use smoke cannons instead of confetti?
Yes — pink or blue smoke cannon add-on ($70). Smoke cannons require outdoor venues only (or a venue with explicit smoke-machine approval). Indoor smoke triggers fire alarms and is not allowed at most LA venues.
What if the gender reveal is also a baby shower?
Common scenario. For combined gender-reveal-baby-shower events, the package upgrade is the Baby Shower package ($450, same price) + Gender Reveal add-on for the reveal balloon ($95). That gives you the baby shower aesthetic plus the reveal moment.
Will guests guess the gender from the pre-reveal palette?
No — our neutral palettes (Pearl & Sage, Beige & Gold, Bold Black & White) intentionally don't telegraph pink or blue. The reveal balloon stays color-blocked outside until the moment of the pop. Some hosts also opt for the matte-black palette specifically for the visual contrast with the reveal.
How is this different from doing the reveal myself with a single $20 balloon?
A single inflated reveal balloon from a party store works for a 5-guest at-home reveal where the photo isn't the focus. Our $450 package adds the 50-balloon backdrop garland, the vinyl message, the confetti cannon backup, and the professional setup — turning the moment into a 6-foot-wide photo backdrop the family can use for the announcement.
